This policy explains what personal data ShopCrossing (shopcrossing.com) processes and why.

What we process

Clicks on marketplace links. When you follow a link to a marketplace we record the time, the product, the page, the site language, campaign tags (UTM) and your country (from network headers). We do not store your IP address: it is turned into an anonymous identifier that changes every day, used only to filter duplicate and automated clicks. Purpose: statistics on which products are useful (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Contact form. Your name, email and message, to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Kept until the request is handled and for at most 12 months.
Wishlist. The products you save with ♡ are stored only in your browser (local storage), not on our server; you can clear them at any time. When you add a product we count it anonymously (product, site language, date and the same daily anonymous identifier as for clicks) to see which products are popular (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Comparison. The products you add with ⇄ are stored the same way, only in your browser; we count additions anonymously with the same data and legal basis as for the wishlist.
Technical data. Our server processes technical connection data needed to deliver the site securely; it is not used to identify you.

Cookies

Without your consent we use only a functional cookie that remembers the site language you chose. We do not use advertising cookies.

Visit statistics (no cookies). We count visits with Umami — a privacy-friendly tool running on our own server. It sets no cookies, does not store your IP address, does not recognise you across sites and does not share data with third parties; it counts visits, pages, referring sites, device type and country in aggregate. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); as it stores nothing on your device, it needs no consent. We respect the browser "Do Not Track" setting — with it on, nothing is counted.

Google Analytics (only with your consent). If you accept analytics in the banner, we use Google Analytics 4 by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to see how visitors find the site: pages viewed, referring sites and search engines, approximate location (country, city), device and browser type, and clicks on marketplace buttons. Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<ID> (up to 2 years) with a random identifier; it does not log or store IP addresses. Google Signals, advertising features and ad personalization are turned off. Data is kept for 14 months. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); you can withdraw it via "Cookie settings" — we then stop loading Google Analytics and delete its cookies. More: Google Privacy Policy.

Marketplaces

When you click a link to AliExpress, Amazon or another marketplace, you leave our site. The marketplace processes your data under its own privacy policy, including to attribute the purchase to our affiliate account.

Processors and transfers

The site is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany (EU). Contact form messages are also forwarded to the site owner via Telegram (Telegram Messenger Inc.) so that they can reply quickly; Telegram may process data outside the EU. We do not sell personal data. Google Analytics (only with your consent) is provided by Google Ireland Limited; Google LLC may process the data in the USA, a transfer covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR), under which Google LLC is certified.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. You can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Poland the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), or the authority in your country of residence.
